I created this because I’ve been through it myself.
For nearly half a decade, I struggled with depersonalization, anxiety, panic attacks, and chronic fight or flight. I had anxiety alone for 20 years. I could barely leave the house. I couldn’t drive a car, hang out with friends, or even walk downstairs to the kitchen some days because social interaction felt overwhelming. The only real relief I got was when I was asleep. I am Trauma Informed Certified.
Depersonalization, anxiety, panic attacks, and chronic fight or flight are not things you can truly understand from the outside. You have to live it.
I know what it feels like to feel disconnected from yourself, trapped in your own mind, constantly questioning reality, your thoughts, and even who you are. When your nervous system is constantly on edge, even simple things can feel overwhelming or unreal. It can feel like you’ve lost control, like you’re not fully present, or like you’ll never feel normal again.
But that state is not permanent.
What many people do not realize is that these symptoms are often connected to a nervous system that has become stuck in survival mode. When your body stays in chronic fight or flight for long periods of time, it can affect nearly every part of your daily life.
That is why learning to regulate your nervous system matters.
For many people, simply trying to ignore symptoms or only chasing temporary relief does not fully solve the deeper issue. In my experience, recovery began when I stopped fighting my body and started understanding what it was trying to tell me.
Once you understand what is actually happening and learn how to work with your body instead of against it, things begin to shift. You can calm your system, regain clarity, rebuild confidence, and start feeling like yourself again.
